 Sergio Gruz 's biography

The pianist Sergio Gruz settled in Paris in 1993. He played in several festivals and clubs in Europe. Besides working as a solo artist and accompanist, he wrote music for dance and theater. His last project, Carrousel, with Juan Sebastián Jiménez and Antoine Banville, combines folklore and jazz. He made the music for the movies Terapias alternativas and SOS ex, and also wrote a piece for brass band and jazz quartet premiered at the 2006 Nancy Jazz Festival. Laberinto and Carrousel, in trio, and Ensemble are some of his albums. His current trio is formed by Herrera (bass) and Fernando Martínez (drums).
